Scottish/Egyptian instrumentalists and composers, The Ayoub Sisters, rose to stardom after their debut album premiered at No.1 in the Official Classical Charts. The sisters are recognised internationally for their chemistry on stage, as well as their ability to unite different musical genres and cultures together through their unique compositional style.
Discovered by Mark Ronson, The Ayoub Sisters are proud to present their latest album Arabesque – a celebration of and tribute to music from the Arab World, which shot to No.1 in the iTunes Chart and debuted at No.10 in the Official Classical Albums Chart.
They have performed across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia with highlights including appearances at the Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium, The Cairo Opera House and Dubai Opera
The sisters have performed as soloists with some of the world’s leading orchestras including collaborations with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera Orchestra and Cairo Symphony Orchestra. 2024 saw The Ayoub Sisters make their USA debut at SXSW where they performed in the Classical Unlocked showcase. The Sisters have also collaborated with Grammy Award-winning acapella group, ‘The Swingles’ and have toured with pianist Alexis-Ffrench and choirmaster Gareth Malone.
The duo regularly perform for royals and presidents, and were recently requested by HM King Charles III to perform at the Honours of Scotland Coronation service in Edinburgh. The sisters were also invited to perform the Egyptian National Anthem live on national television at the closing ceremony of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm el Sheikh, under the auspices of H.E, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Sarah and Laura are no strangers to radio or television. Having made their TV debut performing their own arrangement of George Michael’s ‘Mother’s Pride’ Live at the 2017 BAFTAs; they later went on to perform at the “Last Night of the Proms”, Live on BBC 1 at Proms in the Park Glasgow, 2018. They have appeared on the BBC Big Sing, BBC Songs of Praise and have performed live on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and Scala Radio.
The multi-award-winning sisters are proud recipients of the Arab Women of the Year award in 2019 for their achievements in Cultural Exchange and were also presented with an award by H.E, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for their achievements in music.
With an international YouTube following of over 100k subscribers, The Ayoub Sisters are fast becoming the sound and faces of a truly exciting new generation of classical and crossover artists.
