Songs of Night and Day

Join us in the Melvin Hall for a delightful evening of music including opera, musical theatre and popular song. 

Popular baritone Andy McTaggart (Scottish Opera, Opera Bohemia, A Song for Haddo) together with soprano Jessica Leary, accompanied by cellist Andrew Huggan and Andrew Forbes on piano, takes us on a musical journey from dusk to dawn.

The programme includes much loved classics such as Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Some Enchanted Evening”, Sherwin’s “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square”, Sullivan’s “The Sun Whose Rays” from the Mikado and Strauss’ “Morgen” as well as instrumental pieces by Bach, Bach/Gounod and Faure.
