Haddo Arts Hosts pianist Cristiana Achim’s Scottish Debut

Cristiana Achim

Talented Romanian-born pianist Cristiana Achim is delighted to be making her Scottish debut during this year’s Haddo Arts Festival.

Cristiana has strong links to north east Scotland. She has just graduated from the Royal College of Music in London, where she was taught by Professor of Piano Nigel Clayton, who is also visiting professor of piano at the North East of Scotland Music School (NESMS). Nigel accompanied violinist Gina McCormack for a concert specially recorded in 2020, when Haddo Arts Festival was entirely online due to Covid-19.

So Cristiana already has a link to Haddo by association! Not only as pupil of a former Haddo Arts Festival performer, but also because NESMS pupils have regularly provided short recitals as prelude to poetry or spoken word events in previous Haddo Arts Festivals.
