Welcome to the website of Haddo Arts, a new organisation which will promote the arts at Haddo all year round in partnership with the National Trust for Scotland, Haddo House and Country Park and all the arts organisations based at Haddo.
Haddo Arts is a SCIO, with its own charity number (SC046913) and independent legal status. The Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) is an optional new legal form for registered Scottish charities. The Scottish Ministers introduced the new SCIO legal form in April 2011 to allow charities to be incorporated but to be administered and regulated by a single body, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
This will enable the organisation, among other things, to raise funding from a wider range of public and private sources in order to be able to plan more effectively and increase the appeal of the arts to a wider audience.
The Management Committee of the Haddo Arts Festival Organisation has been working hard over the last year to create this new organisation, working closely with all its partners at Haddo to ensure that the legacy of the arts at Haddo continues to thrive and grow. The Haddo Arts Festival Organisation will close shortly and all of its assets will be transferred to Haddo Arts.
The Haddo Arts Festival 2017 is the first project to be undertaken by Haddo Arts. Many more are planned and we welcome ideas and suggestions for future events.
We hope that you enjoy the Festival!
