Some of you will have joined us during the 2017 Haddo Arts Festival last October for a fascinating talk by Dr Bendor Grosvenor of the BBC’s Britain’s Lost Masterpieces programme, when he talked about the “Haddo Madonna” and whether it could be by the Italian Renaissance Master Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (1483-1520), known as Raphael.

After detailed expert analysis on the painting by the National Gallery in London, the National Trust for Scotland has issued an update on the progress of the investigation. You can read the update here:

The painting is now back on display at Haddo House and is well worth a visit.
